KEEPING PUBLIC ACCESS OPEN -in cooperation with the Olympic National Forest. It started with the Wynoochee Pass Road, proposed to be closed and extended as part of the Wynoochee Pass Trail in the final NEPA decision. We have been working with the Forest Service since 2017 to keep it open. These photos show some nasty slide alder that we cleared, with hand tools during the first year. We work every summer to keep it cleared. We now have extended access through our partnership to keep access open. The road adoption has expanded to ten plus miles of watershed.
